Olfactoyoga: a body mediation based on sensoriality.

Growing up in the countryside, I quickly picked up a form of olfactory sensitivity. When spring arrived, my bedroom window would stay open to smell the scent of the lilacs blooming a few meters below. Many stories have crossed my path, often with a link to the olfactory sphere. As I got older, I always noticed a particular sensitivity to the smells that surround us and to the effect of these smells on my own emotions and even on my bodily state. It is with this sensitivity that I wondered about the possibility of making it an asset in psychotherapeutic care in my private practice. During the discussions, I met a yoga teacher who expressed her interest in essential oils. She suggested that I think about the idea of collaborating and we developed a program of 7 sessions based on the chakras. The proposal of an Olfactoyoga cycle is built on the idea of deepening the effects of the practice of rebirth yoga through the olfaction of essential oils. What is an essential oil? Essential oil is a volatile odorous substance produced by plants and which are extracted in the form of a liquid obtained by steam distillation of a part of the chosen plant (leaves, flowers, bark, seeds, etc.). We wanted a proposal to rebalance psychic energy by meeting the vital energy of essential oils by integrating the stimulation of the kundalini through the practice of rebirth yoga. It is therefore a proposal combining the practice of olfaction, meditation as well as yoga movements related to the energy of each chakra. The cycle was thought of as a unit allowing a journey through the practice of olfaction, meditation as well as the involvement of the body in movement through the practice of yoga. This conjugation is a support for the capacity specific to each individual to regenerate, to align. This is how Olfactoyoga was born. Looking for information on such a practice I found some indications in connection with the energy centers worked by both the practice of yoga and aromatherapy, in particular the work of Mr. Morelli which will be valuable in the creation of the sessions but more as a support among others because I wanted to let my intuition and the ecu of the during the olfacto-reliance training express themselves to integrate it into this workshop setting. The development of a cycle of rebalancing of the chakras will be built on 7 sessions of 2H30 during which part of the time will be occupied by the practice of yoga and a second part of the time will allow to finish the practice on an olfactory meditation linked to olfaction. The sessions took place from April 13 to June 8 with the idea of continuity and staggering of the sessions. A break will be observed between April 28 (3rd session) and May 18 (7th session) for calendar reasons.
